Why is my score grey or missing?
Sometimes a product shows a grey PS Impact Score, or no score at all. In this article, you’ll find out what the cause might be and what you can do about it.
My score is grey
For the calculation, we split your ingredient declaration into individual ingredients. If this hasn’t fully worked, the score turns grey.
Possible causes:
- Unusual characters in the declaration. For example: apple < = > pear < = > carrot.
- A declaration that doesn’t comply with laws and regulations.
- A complex structure, for example with many brackets. Text in brackets is read as sub-ingredients.
How to fix it:
- Open the product in Data Entry and go to Specification > PS Impact Score.
- Check how the declaration has been split into ingredients.
- Is the breakdown incorrect? Adjust the ingredients and sub-ingredients. This doesn’t change your original declaration.
Did you enter your declaration as full text? Then use the Split ingredient declaration button. If you work with ingredients from Master data, the ingredients have already been split.
Please note: sometimes the issue isn’t your input, but the algorithm needs adjusting. PS and HowGood are continuously working on this.
There is no score for my product
This can have three causes:
- Your product falls into a product group that isn’t calculated (yet), such as alcoholic beverages and non-food.
- The ingredient declaration doesn’t comply with laws and regulations. Adjust the declaration as described above.
- Your product was added after the last shipment. On the 15th of each month, we send the completed data to HowGood. As soon as the new calculation is ready, you’ll see the score in My PS.
When will I see the result of my changes?
Anything you change before the 15th of the month is included in the next shipment to HowGood. As soon as the new calculation is ready, you’ll see the new score in My PS.
Still no score?
If none of these causes apply and you’re still missing a score, email the product name and the GTIN or Productnumber to support@psinfoodservice.com.
